RADNOR STUD HISTORY

Radnor Merino Stud was founded in 1982 and the Poll Stud in 1985 but the Radnor name has been involved in Stud Stock for a lot longer.
The Radnor name started with our Grandfather, Fredrick Koehler who drew up on Radnor St, Candorville, South East, Victoria (North East Mornington Penn After moving to SA, he started a Jersey Stud from the mid 1930’s to the late 1940’s and he named it Radnor.
Our Late father Father Eric started a pig stud from the mid 1950’s to the early 1970’s he also called the stud Radnor. After purchasing more land in 1976 our family became more mixed farming and running more Merino Sheep. In the late 1970’s Eric & Stephen found it hard to buy what they wanted and started to breed some of their own rams. After enquiries from Neighbours if they would start a Stud, they finally registered a Merino Stud in 1982.
